Converse and Comme des Garçons: Reunited at last!
Converse and Comme des Garçons PLAY are teaming up for a third time to collaborate on four new styles of the iconic Converse Pro Leather sneaker. The iconic lifestyle sneaker is reinterpreted by Comme Des Garçons’ founder and designer Rei Kawakubo, to feature Comme des Garçons PLAY’s signature quirky heart-with-eyes logo. The new all-over logo pattern was placed randomly to make each sneaker unique in design, celebrating the creative, irreverent sprit that is synonymous with both brands.
The Comme des Garçons PLAY for Converse Pro Leather is available in Milk and Black Mid and Ox silhouettes, retailing for $130-$140. All styles will be available on Dover Street Market’s website and at the Comme des Garçons store in New York City starting May 28, in Paris and London starting June 1 and at Comme des Garçons stores in Tokyo and throughout Asia starting June 21.
